Another Saturday off... yah! Spent the majority of the day setting up my parents' new computer (they got a Dell, dude!). Spent the majority of that time wrestling with their Linksys wireless router and adapter trying to persuade them to talk to the cable modem so as to promote general internet connectivity. After several hours and a couple of aborted sessions with Linksys' offshore Indian tech support (live chat and on the phone) it just started to work, for no particular reason. AUGHHHHH!!! That's the kind of thing that drives tech support pros crazy! Anyway, all is now well and my parents are navigating the information superhighway in a Mustang now, not a Festiva. Somehow I think this counts as a good deed.
I've rented "Broken Flowers"..I hope it's as good as advertised.

I just watched the preview for Broken Flowers online... looks good. Bill Murray is playing those types of roles well these days. I hadn't even heard of the movie before now, though. I am so sadly out of the loop...
I enjoyed it. Bill Murray plays his character in much the same way as "Lost In Translation." He says more with his facial expressions and body language than with spoken dialogue.
The movie was an independent film of the ilk that plays at art-house theatres. It wasn't a mainstream release. Not for the kiddies, though - watch out for gratuitous female nudity.
Here's a link to the Post-Dispatch review of it:
