The St. Louis area weather today was gorgeous, sunny skies with low humidity and a gentle breeze. I took the opportunity to take an early-evening bike ride at nearby Cliff Cave Park. The trail I rode is only a couple of years old and is a really nice trip. It winds through the bottomland of the Mississippi River, with a large corn field on one side and wetland wilderness on the other. Towering above are majestic bluffs with expensive homes looking down from them. Of course, the mighty Mississippi rolls on just to the east. After my ride, I pulled out my camera and spent an hour just taking pictures of the wildflower patches scattered around the park area.
