Interesting story in the sports section of today's Post-Dispatch. Reporter Tom Timmerman covers the St. Louis U. Billikens men's basketball team for the P-D. He was on the scene when the Billikens set a modern NCAA record for the fewest points scored in a game - 20 against George Washington U. last December. While reporting for the Los Angeles Daily News in 1991, he was also on the scene when Loyola Marymount U. set the record for the most points scored in a game in their 186-140 win over U.S. International U. That game also saw a USIU player score a record-setting 72 points.
Two Historic Games: One Common Denominator
(Edit: SLU avenged the GWU loss and then some tonight by the score of 63-38 at home)
